Due to the snow storm last week, I'll be repeating the feature for eveyone who had to miss it, so...
*This week, we're featuring a whole DECADE: The Orchestras of the 1940s!*
From 9-10pm we embrace the Apex of the Golden Age of Tango, revisiting many of the major orchestras that recorded in the 1940's. We'll look at what these great bands have in common and how the vary both rhythmically and lyrically:
- Featuring the orchestras of Di Sarli, D'Arienzo, Troilo, Tanturi, Laurenz, and many more...
- Passion, romance, drama, and soul
- Great melodies and complex rhythms
- Featuring many great vocalists such as Roberto Rufino, Alberto Podestá, Hector Mauré, Enrique Campos, and Francisco Fiorentino.
